In early September 2017, Michelle and Christy started theit lives together in Galway as husband and wife.
It was wonderful to see so many of Michelle’s friends and family over from America for the big day! The weather was typically Irish but we didnt need beaming sunshine when we had Michelle’s smile.
Before the ceremony, Michelle and Christy wanted to meet at the back of the church without seeing each other, to hold hands for a quiet moment before Michelle walked down the isle. It was beautiful. You could feel the love and excitement coming from them in waves.
The ceremony was performed by a friend of Christy’s. It was so personal and different; it featured the traditional catholic vows as well as elements taken from the Filipino wedding ceremony for which Michelle and Christy were able to involve their family members. I had never seen this before so it was facinating as well as beautiful to witness!
After the ceremony we went to NUIG to take some photos. The weather was not on our side but Michelle, Christy and their bridal party were not going to let that spoil the fun! Everyone was so brave and we even got outside after dark for a shot in the rain.
After the speeches, Michelle and Christy danced the night away with their friends and families, accompanied by The Wondertones, a fabulous wedding band I always love to see coming!
Thank you, Michelle and Christy for having me as your photographer. It was an amazing wedding and one I will never forget.
Congratulations to you both, I wish you a long and happy life together xx
